COST: $25.00 per two week session, all materials included.
Ages 5-7 Thursdays 3:45pm-515pm April 15th & 22nd
Students will be encouraged to bring together the components of nature, preservation, and biology with various art forms. In this special series, students will create two or more separate projects, one of which will be submitted into the Junior Wildlife Art Exhibit “EXTINCTION & SURVIVAL” contest.

Youth Sculpture Ceramics Ages 10 & Up
Thursdays April 29 to May 27th, 2010
Studio C 3:45 to 5:30 pm
Students will create a sculptural piece of artwork and other art pieces while exploring their own creative ideas. The instructor will assist students in refining their skills to produce a finished piece of artwork from their original concept

17th Annual Jr. Wildlife Art Exhibit (10:00 AM - 4:00 PM)
 The focus of the 2010 theme is to examine all creatures that are already extinct, are on the brink of extinction or were once in danger of becoming extinct but have been saved and now continue to thrive on our planet.
Jr. Wildlife Opening night reception Friday April 30th from 4:30 to 6pm.
Saturday, May 1st exhibit will be available from 10 am to 4pm, and Sunday May 2nd, exhibit will be available from 11 am to 3pm.

Calendar
Students will develop wheel-throwing techniques and create several pieces including bowls mugs and cylinders.
If you want to paint in color then the secret to success depends on successful color solutions. In this class you will gain a better understanding of how to apporach and solve color problems as well as specific problems of your chosen medium.
Students will create fun and exciting wildlife projects in ceramics while learning how to work with clay.
Students will be encouraged to bring together the components of nature, preservation and biology with various art forms.
