You’ll make your own copper etching plates. You’ll be using modern, nontoxic materials for the entire process. You will learn the traditional techniques of etching and aquatint.

Using safe Akua water based inks, you will be shown lots of different ways to ink and print your new plate.

Bring an apron, and for inspiration, photos and magazines. If you have some drawings, bring them too.

Open to beginning and experienced artists.

Each student will receive one plate, additional fee for extra plates ($25 per extra plate) & printmaking paper ($1.50 per sheet).

July 10 & 11, 2018 (Tuesday & Wednesday)

$150 includes all materials and one plate (printmaking paper not included)
