You’ll make your own copper printmaking plate using the traditional techniques of etching and aquatint. We’ll be experimenting with the latest in safe studio practices. When you print your plate you’ll have the opportunity to play with colors and collage. You will leave the workshop with your own original prints.

For inspiration, bring photos and magazines, and if you have them, drawings. Also, bring an apron and old brushes; all other supplies will be available.

Open to beginning and experienced artists.

Each student will receive one plate, additional fee for extra plates ($25 per extra plate) & printmaking paper ($1.50 per sheet).
