This class explores creating imagery with glass powders, strips, stingers and bits of glass. You will create a landscape or picture in two separate layers that become one after stacking and firing in the kiln. The top layer will consist of the more 3 dimensional components like frit, vitragraph, cut glass and stringers. The bottom layer is sifted powder using a silk screen. Combining the two techniques and layers adds depth and luminosity.
All projects will be fired in our kilns and available for pick-up after Friday in the following week at the Fallbrook School of the Arts.
