So, how do professional photographers take great photos again and again? The answer may surprise you. It’s not the equipment as much as it is the techniques that make a difference. Join new Instructor John Moss and learn how to capture and create better photographs whether family photos or outdoor sunsets. Maybe you like to take pics of your pet or the flowers in your garden? John will cover all the basics for both indoor and outdoor photos to set you up for success! Oh, and it doesn’t matter whether your camera is a film SLR 35mm or a digital model, the techniques are the same for both. So, bring what you have to class.
You’ll learn how your camera operates and discover what technical terms like viewfinder, shutter release and aperture mean. John will teach the importance of lighting, exposure, focus, composition, balance and timing. John’s career as a professional photographer will serve to empower you with enhanced knowledge and build your confidence to produce images just like the pros. You’ll have the opportunity to practice what you’re learning in class, and FSA will provide one 8x10 color photo of your choice to be printed after class and available for pickup within one week.
Supplies Students Bring: Your camera: Either SLR 35mm or DSLR (digital), film cards / film, fully charged batteries. Notebook & pen and (optional) personal water bottle.
