Instructor Profile

Ginna Brooks is a Southern California native, an artist, designer and arts instructor who enjoys all aspects of the creative life.  She has received gallery awards and has been featured in several art publications for her creations. Drawing inspiration from historical and cultural sources and world travels, her artwork reflects her love of research and the process of discovery.

Ginna has many years of teaching experience which includes classes and lectures on art history, mixed media, jewelry making, calligraphy, book forms and fiber arts.  Currently, she is working in artists’ books in a diverse array of media.  Her subjects range from images of botanicals, insects as well as historical and original fantastical alphabets.  From these, she makes layered magical book structures.
