About the event
Learn how to draw! Overcome your “I can’t draw” fears. This is an invitation to develop basic techniques and build skills needed to express your creative soul. Learn how to draw what you see, translating 3D shapes credibly onto a 2D paper surface. Build up your confidence expressing your thoughts while exploring plant and animal themes as shapes and values in a relaxed atmosphere. This course will focus on values, light directions, expressive continuous lines, color, and compositions. Students will work in class along with critiques and demos.
Supplies will be discussed at the first class meeting. Please bring the following materials to the first day of class:
-Canson XL Bristol smooth 14” x 17” 100 lb (This size is important for the class assignments)
- Number 2 or Number 2B graphite pencil
-4B graphite pencil
-Soft polymer eraser
