About the event
Join us for this special free demonstration, Pools - Gems of the Desert, with award winning Plein Air Watercolor artist, Geoff Allen! Geoff will be demonstrating one of his popular pool paintings. Painting pools are a great way to study sparkles, reflections and transparency that can carry over to other calm water bodies such as lakes, harbors and streams. Geoff begins all demos with a brief talk about watercolor handling, painting within a moist zone, and value structures to play within. Join Geoff while he explores light as it interacts with water and the landscape of the desert. Geoff will be part of the Eric Rhodes’ Plein Air Convention in Reno/ Tahoe 2025 and WatercolorLive 2026 .
