Watercolor Journaling

Pens and watercolor are a very useful combo for journaling in the natural world and architecture.  We’ll start out with a concertina design journal created in class. Work with 1 water soluble pen and 1 waterproof pen to draw with and add textures, values with transparent watercolor to create compositions in journals. The basics of contour drawing will be approached to give you the confidence you’ll need to document the bountiful beauty abound. 

Learn how to paint watercolor layers and fused colors with intensity. Paint on location at a very special old adobe site in Fallbrook and another beautiful location. We will return to the studio for continued painting development on 2 of the dates.

Please note: the on- location sites require walking up hill and steps.
