About the event
Art Journals give us an invitation to develop basic techniques and build skills needed to express our creativity. Join arts educator Helen Shafer Garcia for this inspiring and fun class as you start with watermedia painting and drawing techniques in watercolor/mixed media journals. Helen will guide you as you explore markmaking, writing, and painting methods, creating mixed media images to build your confidence and express your thoughts. This class will focus on drawing and painting basic forms with pencil, pen and ink, paint, collage and colored pencils. Experiment with different techniques including stenciling and collage, to create additional imagery on journal pages.
What students are required to bring to class
Supplies 1 or more round #12 or #14 watercolor brush
water container 1
or more flat acrylic brushes
