About the event
Dive into the shadowy realm where what’s left unseen fuels dread. This workshop teaches you to harness ambiguity, atmosphere, and psychological tension to terrify your readers. You'll learn to build suspense through sensory-rich scenes, let suggestions and subtle clues whisper of lurking threats, and pace revelations to let dread bloom naturally. Focused on internal fears, unreliable perceptions, and the eerie power of the unknown, this class arms you with techniques for crafting slow‑burn tension, unsettling environments, and unpredictable, haunting moments that linger long after the page is closed.
Supplies: Notebook and pen preferred, laptops welcome. This workshop is writing intensive so feel free to bring whatever keeps your hands the happiest and healthiest!
Refunds (minus a $25 administration fee) or credit transfers to another class are available up to 14 days before the start date; after that, refunds or credits are not offered. For multi-session classes such as ceramics, missed…
