Instructor at Fallbrook School of the Arts in Fallbrook, CA leading a class in one of the various art mediums

Linda Aviles is a passionate and experienced painting instructor who has been immersed in the arts since she was a child. Her love for painting took root at 17 when she won a regional art competition (VASE competition in San Antonio, TX), a pivotal moment that affirmed her creative path. That early success ignited a deeper commitment to the arts. One that would follow her through every chapter of her life.  Shortly after, she began teaching group classes and developed a deep love for sharing art with others. She remained teaching for four years before enlisting in the military.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Linda continued to nurture her love of painting while serving, eventually teaching art therapy classes for the Wounded Warrior Battalion. There, she witnessed firsthand how art could offer healing, confidence, and hope. A realization that inspired her to continue teaching long after active duty.

Linda holds an Associate Degree in Fine Arts, a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Project Management, and is currently earning her Master’s Degree in Business Marketing. She blends artistic technique with thoughtful instruction, encouraging children and adults to tap into their imagination while building valuable life skills like patience, focus, and creative thinking.

Outside of the classroom, Linda runs her own business, LA Paint Nation, where she teaches group paint parties in parks, as well as private one-on-one classes for students ages six and up. Her classes are energetic, inclusive, and designed to help every student, regardless of background or experience, feel proud of what they create.

At the Fallbrook School of the Arts, Linda brings her signature mix of structure, enthusiasm, and compassion to every youth class she leads. Her goal is to help children discover how to paint but mostly how to express, explore, and celebrate who they are through the joy of art.
