Hi everyone! I am Karen “KT” Trapane, the new Director for FSA. I am so happy to have this opportunity to continue the legacy of providing arts and culture to Fallbrook and surrounding communities. I am so impressed with the program and the caliber of instructors that teach you and your kids. Our department heads, Casey O’Connor (Ceramics), and Ginna Brooks (Glass), continue to add high-quality programming so that you (or your kids) have more choices to learn and grow as artists or creative types. Sara, our Program Coordinator and Social Media Guru continues to do a great job of promoting the classes, workshops, and events, registering you and your kids, and keeping you all in the loop with everything going on here. So, what do I bring to the table, you may ask?
I am a business woman. I come from a regulatory background and own my own consulting business. I am an abstract artist and singer. My passion for the arts drives me to use my “bridge building” abilities and my imagination to foster a strong sense of community and grow a program that is all inclusive. For example, we will be bringing music and creative writing to the program. We are bringing in many more instructors to serve your needs; there will be something for everyone! Look for more opportunities to get your whole family involved through our classes, workshops, camps, and events.
Just in time for SUMMER we are adding a second Mudslingers class, on Tuesdays, as well as two 1-week ceramics classes for the kids! Please visit our website to get the details. We are also adding a creative writing class, The Midweek Muse, where adults will write from prompts and can share with the other participants, or not! No experience necessary!
Because we are an accessible program, we appreciate donations so that we may give kids in the lower socio-economic arena a chance to participate. We are a nonprofit organization, and we count on your registrations as well as donor monies to run the program. And we THANK YOU for your continued support.
I look forward to meeting all of you! My door is always open so do not hesitate to set up an appointment to meet, or you can email me at ktrapane@fallbrookschoolofthearts.org or call me at 760-728-6383 with questions or ideas.
